缶コーヒー「ジョージア」のプロモーションを目的とした番組「Radio GEORGIA Special　Dream Navigators」

日本コカ・コーラが缶コーヒー「ジョージア」のプロモーションを目的に、1ヶ月間限定のポッドキャスティング番組をスタート。番組名は「Radio GEORGIA Special　Dream Navigators」。
内容は、週替わりで様々なシーンのトップランナーがゲストとして登場し、「夢」と「夢の実現」をテーマに語るというもの。登場する有名人は、柔道家・谷亮子さん、DJ世界チャンピオン・ＫＥＮＴＡＲＯさん、格闘家・山本KIDさんなど。

大手企業がポッドキャスティングを商品プロモーションとして利用する例は、今回が日本初だと思います。

ニフティは8月9日、ポッドキャスティングを使ったプロモーション支援を始めた。日本コカ・コーラの缶コーヒー「ジョージア」のプロモーションブログ「Radio GEORGIA Special Dream Navigators」で、アスリートなどのインタビュー音声をポッドキャスティング配信する。

ポッドキャスティングを配信する仕組みとして、ニフティ社のブログサービス「ココログ」とポッドキャスティング用のRSSを生成する「Podfeed」が使われている。

番組の最後には、缶コーヒーを開ける音と、「ジョージアからの質問です。あなたの夢を教えて下さい」「あなたは夢ありますか？」というメッセージが流れる。
CMに7回接触すると売り場に行ったときにその商品を選んでくれる確率が高くなる「セブンヒッツ理論」というものがありますが、今回のポッドキャストは毎日更新されるので、ジョージアのCMを聞く回数はかなり多くなる可能性が。
ポッドキャスティングをプロモーション・メディアとしてみた場合、消費者と継続した関係性を持つことができ、音を使って消費者の記憶に残りやすいという特長が挙げられると思います。iTunesとiPodのポッドキャスティング対応でポッドキャスティング利用者が増えたことで、今後はこうした企業プロモーションでの活用が日本でも増えそうです。
