iTunes Podcast Directory経由のPodcast購読数が2日間で100万件
iTunes Podcast Directory経由のPodcast購読数が、わずか2日間で100万件を超えたという発表が。
・iTunes経由のPodcasting購読数、2日で100万を超える
・iTunes Podcast Subscriptions Top One Million in First Two Days
アップルが2003年にiTunes Music Storeで音楽販売を開始した時は、1週間で100万曲が販売されました。
それと単純に比較ではできませんが、たった2日間で100万件がiTunesに登録されて定期的に聞かれるようになったというのはすごいと思います。
またアメリカの地域FM局KCRWでは、iTunesにポッドキャストが登録されたことで、ダウンロード数が10倍にもなったとのこと。同じくiTunesに登録されたポトフさんも、番組の登録者が50倍以上になり、のべで聞くひとが2000名を超えたそうです。
iTunes4.9に登録されていた影響、こいつは凄いもんです。軽くリスナーの数が50倍を突破な感じです。
アップルによってポッドキャスティングはメインストリームになったのはもう間違いないですね。
