語研、PodCastingを利用して語学教材の音声データを配信
海外の英語のものが中心のポッドキャスティングの番組。英語を勉強したいという方にとっては、毎日無料で英語の教材がiPodにダウンロードされるので、ポッドキャスティングはかなり便利だと思います。
英語だけでなく、違う外国語の勉強にもポッドキャスティングが使えるようになりそうです。
語学専門出版社である語研が、ポッドキャスティングで中国語とタイ語の教材の配信を開始しました。
語学書専門出版社である語研は、PodCastingを利用した語学教材の音声データ配信を開始した。教材の聴取は無料。
PodCastingを利用した語学教材は、シーサーが提供するPodCasting対応のブログツール「Seesaa RSSラジオ」で再生可能なほか、PodCastingに対応するRSSリーダーなどを通じてMP3形式の音声データをダウンロードできる。語研では、シーサーのブログサービス「Seesaaブログ」上に配信サイトを開設して、語学教材の音声データを公開している。
平日は毎日配信で、配信の仕組みはポッドキャスティングに対応しているSeesaaブログが使われているようです。
語研社の今回のポッドキャスティングの目的は、まずは多くのひとに音声教材を聞いてもらい、本格的に勉強しようと思ったひとに同社の教材を購入してもらうというもの。
語学教材にはたいてい音声ＣＤがついていますが、CDをなくしたとか、MP3に変換してiPodに取り込むのが面倒という方に、こうした音声データのポッドキャスティングはいいですね。毎日音声データが少しづつ配信されるので、勉強のペースを自分で考えなくてすむので楽？
語学勉強へのポッドキャスティングの活用は、いろいろ将来性がありそうですね。
