キーワードで番組の内容を検索できる「Podscope」がサービスを開始
ポッドキャスティングの番組の音声をテキスト化し、キーワードで検索できるようにした「Podscope」が、ベータサービスを開始した（前回記事「キーワードで番組の内容を検索できる「Podscope」」）。
検索結果では、記事のタイトルと概要、記事のURL、RSSのURLが表示される。
結果は最新日付順ではなく、何らかの重み付けがされて表示される。
検索結果の「＋」アイコンをクリックすると、番組内で検索キーワードが含まれている箇所のリストが開き、サイト上で実際に聞くことができる。
現在ベータ版ということで、チューニングを継続して行って検索精度をよくしていくとのこと。
数多くのポッドキャスティングを対象に、自分が興味のある情報をキーワードで探せるというアプローチは画期的だと思う。
この技術の応用分野としてはいろいろ考えられる。
例えば音楽検索をこの技術で実現すれば、ある曲のワンフレーズの歌詞だけを覚えていた場合でも、目的の曲を見つけることが可能になる。
一番便利だと思うのはやはりテレビ番組検索への応用。テレビ番組がデジタル化されてアーカイブとして蓄積された時には、このような検索サービスが必要になってくるに違いない。
技術の進歩って本当にすごいと実感させられたサービスですね。
