ウェブ上の映像をPSPで楽しむ「PSPcasting」
「PSPでポッドキャスティングを楽しむ方法」は前に紹介しましたが、ウェブ上の映像コンテンツをパソコンに自動ダウンロードし、PSPに転送して楽しむ「PSPCasting」について百式で紹介されていました。
PSPVideo9ではコンピュータ上の映像ファイルをPSPで見られるように変換してくれるソフトウェアを提供しているが、彼らがユニークなのはそれを他のソフトウェアと組み合わせることによってPSPCastingを提唱している点だ。
つまりインターネット上の自分が好きそうな映像ファイルをPodcastingよろしくPSPに自動的にダウンロードしてくれるのだ。そして好きなときに出先で映像を楽しむことができる。
動画となるとiPodでは無理なので、PSPの出番になる。
しかしネット上にある動画で、習慣的に見たいものがとっさには思いつかない。強いて言うならニュースぐらいか。
映像に関しては、音声以上に個人の作ったものと企業が作ったもののクオリティの格差が大きいため、個人のものを楽しむというのはちょっと想像できない。
iPodだけでなく、世界中で販売されるPSPへのコンテンツ配信は、いろいろと可能性がありそうですね。
