ポッドキャスティングの利用実態についての調査結果
アメリカのBlogAds社が約3万人のブログ読者を対象に行った調査の結果が発表された。その中には、ポッドキャスティングの利用についての質問と結果もありました。
大まかな結果としては、
・ブログ読者の75%は30代以上
・男性が75.5%
・ブログを書いているひとは20.7%
・43%は9万ドル以上の年収
・RSSリーダーの利用したことがない人は72.4％
そして気になるポッドキャスティングの利用に関する調査結果は以下。
「一週間あたりにどれぐらいポッドキャスティングを聞きますか？」
・聞いたことがない 92.1％
・1回 3.1％
・2回 1.7%
・5回 0.5%
・10回以上 0.9％（このうち、毎日聞く人は0.3%）
2004年11月時点でアメリカのブログ読者数は3,200万人という記事があったので（参考記事）、それをベースにポッドキャスティングを一度でも聞いたことがあるブログ読者を試算すると約252万人になる。
マーケティング関連のオンラインニュースメディア「MarketingVOX News」では、調査結果で9割のひとがポッドキャスティングを聞かないことをうけ、「まだ利用者が少ないポッドキャスティングは過大に評価されている」というコメントをしている（参考記事）。
今後どれぐらいの勢いでポッドキャスティングの利用者が増えていくのか注目ですね。
