聞きながら健康に！フィットネス・ポッドキャスティング
ジムと音楽は欠かせない関係だ。
エアロビやウォーキングは音楽にあわせて体を動かすし、ランニングマシーンで走っているひとでiPodで音楽を聞きながらというひとをよく見かける。
そこに目をつけて、ポッドキャスティングを聞きながら健康になれるという「フィットネス・ポッドキャスティング」サービスがはじまった。
提供される番組は、「Walking & Aerobics」、「Body Sculpting & Stretch」、「Confessions of a Food-A-Holic」の3つ。番組は毎週新しいものが更新されていく予定。
食生活について語られる「Confessions of a Food-A-Holic」を除く2つの番組では、聞いているだけで体が動き出しそうなリズムのいい音楽をベースに、体の動かし方の指示が流れてくる仕組み。
これを聞きながら運動をすれば、自宅にいながらにして、ジムでやるような練習プログラムを実現できるというのがメリット。フィットネス大国のアメリカらしいポッドキャスティングだ。
フィットネスジムが会員に対して、こういったエクササイズの練習番組をポッドキャストで流すというのは、日本でもありかも。
フィットネスに限らず英語の勉強など、継続性を必要とし、音声や音楽と関連性の強いものは、ポッドキャスティングと相性がいいという気がします。
