任天堂の岩田社長の講演がポッドキャスト配信！
サンフランシスコで開催中のゲーム開発者向けイベント「Game Developers Conference 2005」で、任天堂の岩田聡社長が次世代ゲーム機について講演しているのですが、任天堂のUSAのサイトでその内容がポッドキャスト配信されています。
・GDC: Mr. Iwata's Speech Podcast
内容についてですが、家庭用ゲーム機「ゲームキューブ」の次世代機「レボリューション（仮称）」では、に高速無線インターネット通信機能を標準装備。オンラインゲームが簡単に利用できるようになる。
また、昨年発売しヒットした携帯ゲーム機「ニンテンドーＤＳ」向けに、無料でワイファイに接続するサービスを年内に開始するとのこと。
IT企業ではなく、任天堂がポッドキャストを広報ツールとして利用するなんて、ちょっと意外でした。
P.S 任天堂は「Podcast」と書いているのですが、RSSフィードが使われているわけではなく、mp3がただ置かれている。そのため、これを「Podcast」とするかどうかについて、アメリカのブロガーが指摘していました。
厳密に言うとポッドキャスティングじゃない気もするし、どうなんでしょうね。
