イランのジャーナリズム運動のポッドキャスティング
イランでは、2000年から通常の出版物が検閲の対象になり、新聞や出版に係わる多くの人々が国内や逃亡した国外からブログで情報発信をするようになり、個人のジャーナリズム運動がかなり盛ん。
ブログで自由を得たと喜んでいたのも束の間、政府は批判的記事を書くブロガーに弾圧を加えるようになり、逮捕されて投獄されるブロガーも。
そんな中、イランのブログジャーナリズムの中心人物・ホセイン・デラクシャン（Hossein Derakhshan）氏が、 ネットラジオ局「Radio Hoder」を一月から立ち上げ、ポッドキャスティングでの情報発信を開始している。
このことを知ったのは、BBCの以下の記事より。

イランにおいてはもちろんラジオも全て政府の支配下にある。
自由な内容で音声放送が流せるということで、このポッドキャスティングは大変意義があるものだと思います。
また、海外の国だと誰もが十分な教育を受けているわけではなく、文字を読めないひとも少なからず存在していると思うので、そういったひとにいはポッドキャスティングでの音声放送は有益なものに違いない。
ただ問題点として指摘されているのは、イラン国内のネットでこの放送を聞く人にとっては、まだダイアルアップでのネット接続が主流のため、ダウンロードまでに非常に時間を要するということ。
あとはイラン政府がブログと同じようにポッドキャスティングにも目をつけ、イラン国内からのポッドキャスティングは検閲の対象になる可能性もあるとしている。
ポッドキャスティングはエンターテイメント性が強い内容のものが多いのですが、個人ジャーナリズムとしてどう発展していくのかにも今後注目していきたいと思います。
