アダム・カリー氏、ポッドキャスティングの課題を語る
ポッドキャスティングの父 アダム・カリー氏のポッドキャスト「Daily Source Code」の2/22放送分では、ポッドキャスティングの現状の問題について語られているそうです。
たまに聞いてる Adam Curry の Podcasting "Daily Source Code"、2/22 のテーマは Radio Commercizliation & Podcasting で、「Podcasting だとアフィリエイトできない！」という死活問題をかかえたアサマシ系 Podcaster 必須の内容。
NY のラジオ広告業界カンファレンスに出席しての感想からはじまって、マス向けの広告より、Podcasting でのニッチ層のほうがリーチしやすいとか、show notes でキャストを検索可能に、とか割と普通だけど興味深い内容になってます。
私が前に「ポッドキャスティングの発展のための課題」というところで、検索とアフィリエイト基盤が整備されていない点について書きましたが、ここの課題がクリアになるかどうかがポッドキャスティングが広がるかのカギになりそうです。
あと、「マス向けの広告より、Podcasting でのニッチ層のほうがリーチしやすい」という意見には納得。
ポッドキャスティングはニッチなジャンルの番組がたくさんあるため、それを聞いているリスナーはターゲットとしてかなり絞り込みがされている。
それらのターゲットに効率よくリーチする手段として、今後は広告業界からポッドキャスティングが評価されるようになる気がします。
