企業がPodcastingを始めるのを支援するサービスが登場
「うちの会社でも今話題のポッドキャスティングをはじめてみたいけど、どうやったらできるの？」－アメリカではたぶんそんな声がいくつかの企業では出始めていると思いますが、そうしたニーズにこたえる会社が登場した。
Pwop Productionsは、企業がPodcastingを行うための録音、編集、著作権のない音源提供、ウェブ設計、RSSの作成といった作業を支援するサービスの提供を発表した。
・Podcasting Pioneer Launches Podcast Production Services Firm（リリース文）
Pwop ProductionsのCEOであるカール・フランクリンは、「.NET Rocks!」という人気のポッドキャストの運営者でもあり、何度かニュースメディアに登場するほどよく知られている。
サービスの顧客としては、マイクロソフトが教育機関向けに最新技術情報の提供などを支援する「Microsoft's MSDN Academic Alliance」 が決定している。
「Microsoft's MSDN Academic Alliance」 は近い将来にマイクロソフトの新技術などの情報をポッドキャスティングで大学などの各教育機関に配信する予定。
ブログが普及すると、企業向けにブログの導入支援やブログを活用した顧客とのコミュニケーションをコンサルティングするような会社がどんどん出てきました。
ポッドキャスティングでもそうしたBtoBのマーケットが今後は広がってくるのかもしれませんね。
