Podcastingのパワー
アメリカでのPodcasting（ポッドキャスティング）の影響力について書いた以下の記事より。

Derrick Oienが提供する「2億5000万ドルのラジオショー」（こちら）というポッドキャスティングがある。パンクやハードコアの音楽を紹介するこの番組には、2万5000ものリスナーがいるという。
Derrick Oienは、「日本人やヨーロッパのリスナーからポッドキャスティングを聞いているというメールをもらう」と言う。そして「ポッドキャスティングを始めてから、ウェブサイトへのアクセスは3倍になった」と語る。
アレンWeiner(市場調査会社がートナーのAllen Weinerは、「ポッドキャスティングが既に減退しているラジオ市場を脅かす」と予想する。そしてゆくゆくは 「ラジオ市場に残される唯一のものが、ライブスポーツと時事問題のニュースのみになる」と続ける。
以上が記事の内容になります。
リアルタイム性を求められるもの以外は、全てポッドキャスティングで聞きたい時に、MP3プレーヤーで外で聞くという行為に置き換えられるという気がします。
ラジオ局にとって悲観的な未来かというとそうでもなく、逆にチャンスだと思います。
ラジオ局はポッドキャスティングに対応すれば、世界中からリスナーを獲得できる可能性が広がります。また、外で視聴させることで購買行動に強く影響できる音声ＣＭを打てるようになるでしょう（これについては広告効果測定が難しいなどの問題もあり、それはまた違う機会にでも）。
日本のラジオの場合は、ポッドキャスティングによってどう変わるんでしょうね。
アメリカと日本では全く状況が違うので同じような未来が待っているとはあまり思いませんが、何らかの影響は受けるんだろうなという気がします。
