ポッドキャストで番組配信するための準備

ポッドキャスティングを聞くのではなく、自分で番組を作って配信したい場合について、説明します。

■ステップ１「自分の声を収録する」

まずは自分で番組を制作するところからはじめます。
自分の声をパソコンに取り込むため、マイクを用意して下さい。
マイクは量販店で安いもので1000円～2000円ぐらいで買えます。私は1000円のマイクですが、ちゃんとクリアに音を収録できるので、それほど値段にはこだわらなくていいと思います。
そしてパソコンの背面にある「マイク・イン（MIC IN）」にマイクを差し込めば、声が入力できるようになります。

ただ入力するためには、録音するためのソフトをパソコンにインストールする必要があります。
Windowsでもともと入っているソフトがあるのですが、私のおすすめは「♪超録 - HDD長時間録音機フリーウェア版」。
タイマー録音機能やテープ・MD・レコードなどから音を取り込む場合のトラック(音楽ファイル)自動分割機能など、便利な機能がいろいろあって初心者から中・上級者まで幅広く使うことができると思います。
また、「lame」をダウンロードして実行することで、MP3形式で直接録音が可能です（lameのダウンロードはこちら）。

あとはPCに接続できるICレコーダーに録音する方法もあります。こちらだとICレコーダー代が結構しますが、PCがないようなどんなところでも録音できるのが便利。
iPodに接続できる「iTalk」を使えば、iPodをICレコーダーとして使えて価格も手ごろなので、こちらもオススメ。「iTalk」を使ったポッドキャスティングについては、Going My Wayさんのこちらの記事が参考になります。

■ステップ２「ポッドキャスティングに対応したRSSの用意をする」

次にポッドキャスティングに対応したRSSの用意をする必要があります。
方法はいくつかあるので、自分にあった方法を選べばいいと思います。

①既に自分でブログを持っていて、そのサイトでポッドキャスティングをしたい場合
1番簡単なのは、アメリカの「FeedBurner」という無料サービスを使って、自分のブログのRSSをポッドキャスティングに対応したRSSに変換することができます。
方法については「「FeedBurner」で簡単にポッドキャスティングを始める」をご覧下さい。

また、既にMovableTypeで、そのブログでポッドキャスティングを配信したい場合には、アメリカの「MT-Enclosures: A Movable Type Plugin」というプラグインを使う方法があります。

②まだブログがない、またはブログを持っているがそこでポッドキャスティングしなくてもいい場合
1番簡単なのは、「カンタンデジオツール」を使う方法になります。
このサービスではブログが無料で開設でき、そのブログにMP3ファイルをアップロードすると、自動的にポッドキャスティングに対応したRSSを作ってくれます。

また、無料のブログサービス「Seesaa Blog」もポッドキャスティングに対応したので、こちらもおすすめです（「日本の「Seesaa　Blog」がPodcastingに対応」）。

はじめまして。ただいま、我流でポッドキャスティングをやっていますが、このサイトはいろいろ参考にさせていただきました。どうもありがとうございます。
ちなみにRSSは手書きで自作しています。なんと原始的な、と思われるかもしれませんが、サーバ内にポッドキャストに供したくないmp3ファイル（低ビットレートサンプルなど）がある場合には有効かと思います。ご参考までに。

サーバー上に別のMP3ファイルがあるときのポッドキャスティングは考えていなかったのですが、その場合は手書きというのはよさそうですね。
配信者側でどのMP3をポッドキャスティングするか、選べるようなプラグインや仕組みが出てくるといいですよね。

iTunesがPodcastに対応してからというもの、ブームの感がありますね。

えっと、これは、RSSを自力で作られている方向けの情報ですが・・・

自分で作ったRSS生成ツールだとiTunesの表示での「アーティスト」の欄が空だったので、どうすれば入るかなと調べてみました。

MP3のIDタグのアーティスト項目にデータを埋めていれば、それがそのまま表示されるようですが、IDタグ編集を毎回やるのは手間なので、RSSで指定できないものかと。
そうすると、どうやら、iTunesの独自拡張タグというものがあるらしく、それに記述すれば、アーティスト欄に反映できるらしいという記述をWebで見つけました。
ただ、これを指定する＜itunes:author＞アーティスト名＜/itunes:author＞タグの場所が問題で、ネストレベルとして＜chanel＞の中で書いてもiTunesの表示に反映されなくて、＜channel＞の中の＜item＞の中に書かないと駄目でした。

ご参考までに。。。

（ケロログさんの出力しているRSSもどうやらこの＜itunes:author＞が、＜channel＞の子にあってせっかく指定してあっても、iTunesでの表示ができていないような感じです。勘違いでしたらごめんなさい）

なお、iTunes独自拡張タグを使うには、先頭の＜rss＞タグを
＜rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/DTDs/Podcast-1.0.dtd" version="2.0"＞
としておく必要があるとのことです。

それと、iTunesの独自拡張タグとして、アートワークを指定する＜itunes:image href="http://～/～.jpg" /＞というのもあるようなのですが、これを指定しても、iTunesのアートワークに反映されてくれませんでした。
＜channel＞の子と、＜item＞の子のどちらも試してみたのですが、どちらもだめでした。

この現象どなたか、技術的な情報をお持ちでないでしょうか？
＃たとえば、「お前のタグの書き方が悪い。うちはこうしてちゃんとアートワークとして表示できている」とか、「それはiTunesのバグなので、次回のバージョンで解決されるのを期待せよ。。」とか。

ちなみに、MP3のIDタグに画像情報を入れれば即解決するらしいのですが、毎度毎度タグ編集するのは手間なのでRSSの定義だけの一括でやりたいのです。
